I think we have finally survived the flu that's been going around. :-p
Man, that was terrible. I think we were sick nearly EVERY day of February! And that's no joke... Olivia is still sick, but I think she's finally coming around. Oh, I can't wait for spring when all these illnesses aren't close at hand anymore!
Life has been crazy. Aside from being sick, I've been working, working, working! Its all it seems like I do anymore. :-/ I hate not being home. I'm trying to not feel like a whiner through all this, but its still hard. I hate knowing (or at least pretty sure at knowing) what you want to do but you can't. Like a young toddler who knows he wants some crackers on the cabinet but can't reach it. He wants it; he knows he needs it, but he can't get to it. Instead he's stuck with a piece of bread, and even though its good and somewhat tames his cravings, he still wants what he can't reach.
Sigh.
I wish life wasn't so complicated sometimes. I always look at the "big picture" but its so hard sometimes.
I can't believe its March already! Jake's birthday is just nine days away...AHHHH! My little brother's going to be 20 soon! ::sniff, sniff:: This month sure has a lot of holidays - Palm Sunday, Good Friday, Easter, Purim, St. Patrick's Day - and then Jake and Jeb's b-days (his is the 23rd; he'll be 16 on Easter! How cool is that!) Man, that sure sounds like a lot!
Has anyone read any of Ernest Hemingway's works? I started A Farewell to Arms. What a rip-off! Totally over rated, as usual when it comes to classics. Don't you hate that? Books that *should* be good because everyone says they are usually are busts. I don't know why I'm disappointed by that. I guess because I spent Friday morning reading half of it at work and it never really improved. It passed the time, but I'm sure there was something better I could've read. But I've come this far; I have to see what happens now. ;-)
Ok, this is a really boring post. I guess there's nothing really exciting to write about. I'm not home enough to see all the weirdness and I'm at work a lot and who wants to hear about the meat packing business?
